What documents will the bank need to open the new bank account?
At minimum, you'll need the incorporation documents and EIN to open a business account.
The exact documents required to open a business account will vary depending on your bank. Generally, banks will require the following documents to open a new bank account in the name of your Parent Series LLC:
- The Articles of Incorporation. This is a document filed with the Texas Secretary of State which shows the filing fees are paid and the entity has a legally recognized name.
- Operating Agreement. This is a private document created by the law firm and sets the governing rules for the LLC.
- An Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS
