How do I keep my asset holding company in “good standing”?
Businesses are required to file specific taxes and maintain records in accordance with the state. You can handle this yourself or appoint us to do it for you.
All business entities registered in the State of Texas will need to file their franchise taxes with the Texas Secretary of State each year to remain in “good standing.” Failure to file or pay your businesses’ franchise taxes will result in a late fee, suspension of the entity, and eventually the forfeiture of the business entity. For clients with our Legal Concierge Service, Royal Legal Solutions will prepare and timely file your franchise tax forms with the Texas Secretary of State - in addition to providing ongoing legal support, a registered agent service, and a business address, among other benefits.
If your business entity is operating and registered in a state outside of Texas, you should contact its Secretary of State for information concerning any ongoing obligations.
