Can I use a Private Foundation as an H-1B Visa?
- Yes. You can set up a Private Foundation, but you will not be able to list yourself as a director or take a salary until you gain citizenship.
- Each foundation needs three directors, usually both spouses plus a 3rd party. So, you would need to fill those roles. A director in essence signs the tax return and determines where the 5% donation goes.
