How does refinancing work in a Land Trust?
- Refinancing is not generally recommended while in a Land Trust structure as it is designed for buy-and-hold situations (not for frequent refinances or sales).
- A refinance can be done in the Land Trust structure, but it is sometimes inconvenient due to lenders and title companies not being familiar with this structure.
- It is usually easier to move the property back into your name for a refinance or a sale, rather than proceeding with these transactions in the Land Trust.
