What should I do with my current insurance policy?
Add the land trust to the policy or take out a new policy in the name of the land trust.
For insurance purposes, you have two options. First, you can keep your current insurance policy and add the land trust as an “additional insured.” Second, you can take out a new insurance policy in the name of the land trust. Your insurance agent can help you determine which is best for your situation.
