How difficult is it for a lawyer to figure out who owns the Series LLC, meaning it isn't really that anonymous?
Naming the structure to preserve anonymity and using an anonymous trust in conjunction with the Series LLC can make it extremely difficult to figure out who owns the Series LLC. In order for an attorney to determine the owner of a structure set up with anonymity, it would cost the attorney (and respective client) thousands of dollars and many hours - an expense most attorneys are typically not going to undertake due to the uncertainty regarding recovery for their client (and their fee).
