I checked the assessors website and see that my personal name is still listed, does this mean that my deeds were not recorded?
Not necessarily. Counties vary in the amount of time it takes to update their online records. Your deed may have been recorded, but the online directory has not been updated yet. The best practice is to call the assessors office to ensure the proper name is on record.
